Rava Idli Recipe

Ingredients
- 2 cup Rava/Sooji
- 2 tbsp Oil for tadka
- 1 tsp Mustard seeds/Rai
- pinch Asafoetida/hing
- 1 tsp Chana dal
- 1 tsp Urad dal
- 1 Dry whole red chilli
- 1 tbsp Cashew nuts broken into small pieces
- 1 cup Curd/ Dahi/Yogurt
- 1 sprig Curry leaves
- 1 tsp Ginger chilli paste
- 1/4 cup Coriander leaves finely chopped
- 1 cup water
- 2 tsp Eno/Fruit salt
- 1 tsp salt to taste
- 1/2 cup carrots, french beans, peas finely chopped(optional)
Instructions
- Heat Oil for seasoning
- Add mustard seeds and when they being popping add asafoetida, dry red chili, channa dal, urad dal and mix.
- Let it become light brown and add sooji in it and roast till it turns light brown
- Allow the sooji to cool down in another bowl for 10 minutes
- Prepare Idli steamer by pre-heating water to a boil.
- Grease the idli tray with little oil
- Add the curd, curry leaves, green chilies, cilantro, ginger and salt. Mix well until no lumps visible
- Add eno into it and mix well
- Pour the batter immediately
- Steam the batter for 15-20 minutes
- Serves it hot with chutney sambhar
